The
Nova Scotia Down Syndrome Society recognizes and celebrates November
1-7th, 2010 as National Down Syndrome Awareness Week. This Awareness
week is an initiative of the Canadian Down Syndrome Society and
recognized by local and regional Down Syndrome societies and groups
across the country.
National Down Syndrome Awareness Week is a
public awareness campaign celebrating the strengths and abilities of
people with Down syndrome and educating people about their local
community supports and programs for persons with Down syndrome.
